Welcome Back!!
Dear Grimes Parents,

 I hope that you had a great summer.  Now that school is back in session, I am certainly looking forward to getting to know more of the Grimes Community.  It has been very nice meeting those of you who have had an opportunity to stop by the school. 

 For those of you that I haven’t had a chance to meet, I wanted to share with you some of my background.  I have been with Tulsa Public Schools for 20 years.  My undergraduate degree is in Special Education from OSU.  I also have specialized training for children with autism and traumatic brain injuries.  I have taught every realm of Special Education.  Nine of these years were spent in High School and the remaining in Elementary.  One of these years was team teaching a multi-age class of 2^nd through 4^th graders.  I have also spent many of these years in the regular classroom providing services for those with special needs in an inclusive setting.

 My graduate degree is from University of Oklahoma where I received a Masters in Education Administration, Curriculum, and Supervision.  I’ve served as an Interim Principal at Owen Elementary while the principal was on leave.  During the summer of 2004 I was the administer for the Extended School Year Summer Program.  Previous to Grimes, I was the Assistant Principal at Kendall-Whittier Elementary.

This is my fourth year with Grimes, and I have enjoyed every minute working with your children!  I am anxious to meet more of our families and get to know each of you better.  I have an open door policy.  I welcome any concerns or questions you may have.
