We believe that learning is a lifelong adventure.
We believe in facing each day with minds open to knowledge
and hearts open to love.
We believe in the freedom to wonder, to ask,
to explore, to imagine, to create.
We believe that success means doing our best.
being our best, and feeling proud of our effort.
We believe that every one of us has special talents,
and that the talents of each of us help all of us.
We believe in ourselves, in each other,
IN GRIMES SCHOOL!
Our Vision Statement:
We will provide quality learning experiences for every student, every day, without exceptions.
Literacy is a huge focus for Grimes. Reading, writing, listening and speaking are all components of literacy that teachers are incorporating into daily lessons. You can help your child's literacy skills by having your child reading nightly and write about what they read. For the younger students have them retell the story or draw a picture and help them write a sentence to go with the picture.
Grimes is striving to improve overall student attendance. Please continue to get your child to school on time and make appointments for after school hours if possible. The tardy bell rings at 7:45 AM. At Grimes we are pursuing a year filled with success through hard work and dedication by providing students with daily opportunities to grow. The hard work is the responsibility of us all - teachers, students, staff, families and administrators. We need to prepare students with the knowledge they need to do their best. Let's all work together to support Grimes students.
